In Chris's own words, his primary focus is interior remodeling, with his niche being showers and full bathroom remodels. That is where most of his week goes, and it shows in the details: tile lines that meet, trim that fits, a room that feels finished when he leaves.
Chris has more than 35 years in carpentry and the finish trades, including nine years as a journeyman carpenter in the Detroit Carpenters Union. Bathrooms use almost all of those skills in one small room: framing, tile, plumbing fixtures, electrical, drywall and trim. Having one person who understands how they fit together matters more here than anywhere else in the house.
What a bathroom remodel can include
Every bathroom is different, and so is every quote. Chris looks at your space and builds the scope around how you use it. Common pieces of a full remodel:

Older homes hide things. A floor that looks fine can have damage that runs into the subfloor, and a wall that looks solid can hide water damage. Chris has taken a bathroom in a 70 year old house from awful to amazing, and he repairs what is under the surface instead of covering it up.

Chris has run Nevins Home Improvement since 2003, and he has shrunk it on purpose. These days it is just Chris and his son, Reese. How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Michigan?
It depends on the size of the room, the tile and fixtures you choose, and what is behind the walls and floor. Chris does not guess from a phone call. He looks at the space and gives you a custom written quote for your bathroom.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
That depends on the scope, so Chris gives you a schedule in your written quote after he sees the space. Because he works on one job at a time, he stays on your bathroom until it is finished.
Can you remodel just the shower and not the whole bathroom?
Yes. Showers are Chris's niche, and he takes on shower-only projects as well as full bathroom remodels. Tell him what you want when you call and he will quote exactly that.
Do I need a permit to remodel my bathroom?
Permits come from your city or township building department. Chris will tell you what your project needs when he looks at the space, so you know before work starts.
