Kitchen remodeling in Lenawee and Washtenaw County

Cabinets, counters, tile and flooring, planned and built by the same guy. Chris Nevins remodels kitchens in Tecumseh, Adrian, Ann Arbor and the towns around them.

One person for the whole kitchen

A kitchen remodel touches almost every trade. Cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, trim, and sometimes walls and electrical. On a big job those pieces are often handled by different people who never talk to each other.

With Chris, they are handled by one. He writes your quote, plans the order of the work and does it. Jason S. in Tecumseh had Chris rebuild his kitchen and dining room, with hardwood floors and cabinets, and said the final results were better than he imagined.

Cabinets and countertops

Cabinets set the look of the room, and they have to be hung true to look right. Chris has 35 years of carpentry and finish work behind him, so cabinet installation, trim and the small adjustments that make doors line up are familiar ground.

Counters and backsplash tie the room together. Chris works with the materials you choose and fits them carefully, including tile and stone.

  • Cabinet installation and trim

  • Countertops fitted to your layout

  • Tile and glass backsplashes

  • Hardwood or tile flooring that matches the rest of the room

Backsplashes that finish the room

A backsplash is the part of a kitchen people notice first, and mistakes show. Linda Lawrence on Google had Chris install a glass kitchen backsplash and said it turned out like it should be in a decorator magazine. Kylee P. in Ann Arbor had a tile backsplash installed in a new home and noted that Chris was prompt, courteous and detailed, and left the house spotless.

Respect for your home while he works

You live in the house, and a kitchen remodel means disruption. Chris keeps the job tidy and treats the people in it with respect. Jason S. specifically thanked him for being respectful to him, his kids and his house.

Chris works on one job at a time, with his son Reese helping. He serves Lenawee County (Tecumseh, Adrian, Blissfield, Clinton, Onsted, Hudson, Morenci) and Washtenaw County (Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Saline, Chelsea, Dexter, Milan, Manchester).

Planning around how you cook

A good kitchen starts with how you use it: where you prep, where people gather, what bothers you every day. When Chris visits, he looks at the room and listens before he talks about materials.

Then you get a written quote for the version you want, whether that is a full remodel or one piece at a time, like new cabinets or a backsplash. Nothing is too small to ask about.

How it works

Four steps, the same on every job.

  • Call or send the quote form.

  • Chris visits the space.

  • You get his written quote.

  • Chris does the work.

Common questions

How much does a kitchen remodel cost?

It depends on the size of the kitchen, your cabinets, counters and flooring, and what has to change behind the walls. Chris looks at the space and writes a custom quote for your kitchen.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Chris gives you a schedule in the written quote once he has seen the room. He works one job at a time and stays on it until it is done.

Can you do just the cabinets or just the backsplash?

Yes. Not every project is a full gut. Chris takes on smaller kitchen projects like a backsplash or cabinet work as well as full remodels, and nothing is too small to ask about.

Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?

Permits come from your city or township building department. Chris will tell you what your project needs when he looks at the space, so you know before work starts.

Do you remodel kitchens in Ann Arbor and Adrian?

Yes. Chris is based in Tecumseh and works across Lenawee and Washtenaw Counties, including Adrian, Ann Arbor, Saline, Chelsea and Ypsilanti.

Who installs kitchen cabinets and countertops near Tecumseh?

Chris Nevins of Nevins Home Improvement, a licensed Michigan Residential Builder (#2101170214). He quotes the job and does the work himself.
